Bo Routh is a founding partner of Scanes, Routh & James, LLP and represents clients in a broad range of complex real estate transactions, involving acquisition, development, finance, and disposition of commercial, farm and ranch, and residential real property. He also represents banks, mortgage companies, and other lenders in connection with real estate and mortgage lending matters, compliance, and regulatory issues.
Bo also handles a broad range of real estate and business litigation matters, including breach of contract cases, title and boundary disputes, partition, condemnation, and landlord/tenant cases. In addition, he represents landowners, water utilities, and political subdivisions in connection with water law issues, water utility regulation, water rights and permitting, and water transactions (surface water and groundwater).
In 2000, Bo became one of the youngest board certified attorneys (in any area of law) in Texas. He is still one of the youngest board certified real estate lawyers in Texas.

Represented large regional restaurant chain in acquiring locations throughout Texas.
Represented major commercial property owner in a loan transaction in excess of $50 million secured by Texas properties.
Represent numerous farmers, ranchers, recreational buyers, and investors in the sale, acquisition, or exchange of farm and ranch property throughout Texas.
Represent regional banks and mortgage lenders in acquiring branch locations, preparing real estate loan documents, reviewing contracts, litigation matters, and acting as outside general counsel.
Successfully represented major health care system in a lawsuit against real estate developers involving breach of contract and violations of restrictive covenants.
Represent property owners in a trespass to try title cases, boundary disputes, condemnation, and partition matters.
Successfully represented property owners in a lawsuit against the developers of a significant residential development in a flood plain.
Represent water supply corporations and investor owned water utilities as outside general counsel.
Represented an investor owned water utility in the sale of the water company to a large municipality.
