Daniel R. Tilly
My practice is defined by my true enjoyment of real estate and the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with landowners and real estate professionals. I am fortunate to be involved in real estate at every level – from negotiating real estate transactions and advising clients on land use issues to representing clients in court and teaching law school students real property concepts.

Dan Tilly joined the firm in 2005 and focuses his practice on real estate issues as well as condemnation and eminent domain matters. He has represented owners, developers, landlords, and tenants in many complex commercial and residential real estate transactions involving ground, office, and retail leases as well as in the sale and purchase of improved and unimproved property. Dan also represents clients in all areas of land use development before local government entities. On the litigation side, Dan handles contract disputes, partition contests, condemnation matters, and trust and estate cases. He also provides counsel to executors, administrators, and beneficiaries of Texas estates.

Prior to joining the firm, Dan served as the deputy campaign director to the campaign for the reelection of Texas Supreme Court Justice Craig Enoch and as chief of staff to two members of the Texas House of Representatives, Rep. Ronny Crownover (1945-2000) and Rep. Myra Crownover. He remains actively involved in politics and public policy.
